OVERTHINKING- WE CREATE OUR OWN PROBLEMS
Healthy mind results in Healthy life..... Really this statement is so true because when we think positive we feel comfortable and we can solve our problems in a better way , a positive mind knows that the best possible situation for any problem is to face the problem but this thinking process looks positive when we know our limits and restrictions. Human mind cannot be positive all the time. There are some negative thoughts which keep on creeping all the time and then we start beyond our limits and we OVERTHINK. Overthinking is a part of life however we all know the consequences of it but still.......
Studies also show that overthinking leads to serious emotional distress. To escape that distress, many overthinkers resort to unhealthy coping strategies, such as alcohol or food.
Overthinking is an art of creating problems that weren't even there
and we make a world of misunderstandings in our daily life from our personal life to professional life further to our social lifes. Thinking is a good process when it is going in a positive way but overthinking can destroy your mind, the reasons are many but all it starts from WHY ME? Why my life is like this? Why I am not promoted ? Why others are being recognized ? Why my property ? Why my family ? ETC.. ETC. This question is the base of Overthinking but all what we know is things should go right for me , always me and if it goes otherwise then comes Overthinking but we don't realise that there is no need for going beyond our limits as we all know things which are Over are more dangerous like Overeating , Overtalking and many all other overs. This Overthink is nothing it's just our imagination and the process of creating problems ourselves.
At any given point in life, it is possible to direct our thoughts in such a way that changes our perception of the same set of circumstances from bright and sunny to dark and stormy. Take a first date, for example. One minute, we may be thinking, “I’m so excited about this girl” A moment later, the thought morphs into “I wonder why she hasn’t called me yet. Was she not really into me?” And finally, as we slip down the sneaky slope of overthinking, our mind floods with attacks like “She was probably just not interested. No one will actually be interested in you. Why do you even try?”
Sure, there are times where your boss may really not like you and it could cause issues in the workplace, but a lot of times people are too ‘self-oriented’ with their thoughts and fail to remember that their boss is managing lots of people, and doesn’t have time to direct that much energy or frustration against just you. Again we have created a problem ourselves and we have not only disturbed our mind but also our good work which is not good after OVERTHINKING.
Thinking too much about things isn’t just a nuisance; it can take a serious toll on your well-being. Research finds that dwelling on your shortcomings, mistakes, and problems increases your risk of mental problems. And as your mental health declines, your tendency to ruminate increases, leading to a vicious cycle that is hard to break.
So , we have to first think before overthinking that is it worth and so important , challenge your thoughts , have a problem solving attitude and change your mind. Life is full of opportunities , stay positive and fresh just remember if you are doing your job in a clear and loyal way then no need to over think , people always want to disturb your peace of mind because of competition just don't allow them. Rejections are part of life ............
